If the cabinet is used to store dishes then it should be hinged opposite the sink dishwasher area.
If it opens to the left it s a left hand swing. All of ours open to the left. I think most right handed people still reach to open cabinets with their right hands although your imagined approach makes perhaps more sense. So single cupboards usually open to the right.
Corner wall cabinet door swing it really depends on the flow of the kitchen in my opinion. When purchasing a door for any reason the left or right hand distinction should be established first and the door ordered accordingly. If you have two doors together should the left one open to the left and the right one open to the right. Closet doors typically open outward for obvious reasons.
To identify a left or right swing door stand inside the door opening with your back against the hinges. You ll get used to however they end up hung. If the door opens to your right it s a right hand swing door. Exterior doors and doors to rooms typically open inward.
