Is Chalk Paint Good For Kitchen Cabinets

I ve been watching all sorts of videos of people painting various pieces of furniture.
You may find it useful to have brushes in a variety of sizes depending on the angle you re painting. It spreads very easily. They have nothing but good things to say about the results. Chalk paint dries quickly.
Chalk paint is thick which means you don t have to sand or prime which saved me days of prep work. And the answer is pretty darn well. Luckily chalk paints are thick but will also dry quickly and thus you can add another coating immediately. Cabinets with more grease and grime could benefit from a degreaser.
I ve been watching videos and seen write ups of people painting their kitchen cabinets with ascp. So i recently discovered annie sloan s chalk paint. You can roll the paint on but i felt like brushing it on gave me a better result. If painted over already sealed wood tannins of the wood will not seep into the white paint causing brownish stains.

Chalk paint is a fantastic option for painting cabinets since there is barely any prep work involved that s right no sanding and sanding and sanding it goes on easily you only need a couple coats and it has a beautiful finish. My cabinets were fairly clean already so all i had to do was wipe them down with a clorox wipe. Chalk paint will hide heavily grained wood like oak. Painting the cabinets using chalk paints is not a big deal.There s no need to prime. Nonetheless applying chalk paint can be a little time consuming as you might have to apply at least one coat wax or varnish over the chalk paint cabinet layer. Chalk paint is thick and requires less coats of paint. Originally i used annie sloan chalk paint in old whiteon the uppers and duck egg blueon the lower cabinets.
